Classic pieces never go out of style, that’s why this blog posts is featuring only Ralph Lauren items that you can buy and wear forever or as long as they fit you. *laughs* The Green Regent Shirt  has been crafted from cotton poplin, it’s a slim-fitting, striped dress shirt featuring a medium-spread Regent collar and Ralph Lauren’s signature embroidered pony. The herringbone blazer is rendered in a lightweight blend of linen and silk, with leather accents and elbow patches for a rustic inspiration.  They look great together, the earth colors complement each other very well, they look fresh, young and casual together.  The white chino pants are rafted from smooth cotton, this essential pant is treated with pigment dyes to achieve a vintage look and features a straight-leg silhouette. For the belt I picked a classic navy themed belt with a vibrant pattern of nautical flags. The outfit is complete now, I picked a light color bottom to give it a resort/cruise look appropriate for the caribbean. The perfect companion and accessory when you go to the beach is a Panama hat! It protects your face from the sun and you will look stylish and sophisticated. It’s a must-have for any beach aficionado. Getting a good one is not easy, often gift shops in hotels sell hats that are meant to be used once, often made of plastic. This is not the case with my hats,  Artesano hats, They’re  hand made in Ecuador from toquilla palm; they’re not only beautiful but also lightweight, and breathable which is key while being under the sun. For this summer outfit you need these beautiful pieces I always like statement pieces, I mean, you know me… and this Ralph Lauren Terry hoodie is one! Made of cotton, perfect for early morning walks by the beach or late night strolls, this hoodie has a floral print toned down with a dark blue to give it a masculine touch, once again I paired a colorful piece with a solid bottom, in this case a relaxed fit Ralph Lauren bermuda short that goes well with anything. The sunglasses are a collaboration I did with Silvio Vasconi and I will be giving away 2 pairs this summer to two lucky followers, be pending! Soo… I visited  Ralph Lauren at The Renaissance Mall the minute I heard they had their new Summer Collection. First piece I fell in love with was this polo shirt; dip-dyed by hand to create ombre stripes in shades of blue. It’s fresh, modern and very eye-catchy without being over the top, it has this elegant-casual “wow” factor. You should get it. They have some other ombre polos that are equally colorful, fun and casual to enjoy this summer. I paired this polo with this sand color jeans by Ralph Lauren also and navy espadrilles by Superglamourous. BEACH ESSENTIALS: WELCOME SUMMER 2015

Hello everyone! These are a few of my must have pieces this summer. Lets start with the shorts… or better yet, the towel… It’s Gray Malin’s first towel and like everything he does it’s just pure fun luxury and the price is not crazy. better hurry get yours since it’s almost sold out. I blogged about it a few days before but this piece is a MUST-HAVE, not only is big, and soft and absorbent BUT it photographs beautifully, and if you are a picture freak like me… YOU NEED IT! The shorts I got them last december, they’re Orlebar Brown’s signature Bulldog short in Collaboration with Gray Malin… yes, I love all things Gray Malin! It’s an US exclusive limited edition. What can I say about OB that I haven’t said before? They’re tailored, modern and fun. Now, the Marky Tortoise sunglasses are from Alfred Kerbs, it was a nice surprise… They’re completely different from what I use to wear. People’s reaction is always positive to the frame and I think personally that they’re a statement …

Caribbean Boho King

So… I got this fouta, yeah, that’s the “towel” :p and thanks to my friends at Ottoiio I was inspired to do this look. What do you think? I call it “Boho King”. I paired this outfit with different pieces from different brands. The Blue linen shirt by Onia is on top of my Algae Miami t-shirt. I think the classic look from the blue shirt keeps the whole outfit from being too “hippy”… let’s put it like that. Now, the breezy and pleasant printed white tee is soft and runs oversized.  When I saw it I thought of some kind of palm trees Pathenon, it’s kind of greek/tropical, the white on white, you know what I mean? I like when a piece of clothing makes you have to give a second look to get the graphic. This Tee is perfect. Algae have a lot of different shirts and accessories, you should definitely check them out.

ONE PERFECT SUMMER OUTFIT

So, summer is here… actually is always here in Aruba, but for those who are waiting for the hottest and most fun time of the year, here’s so outfit I put together with Ralph Lauren. Let’s start with this beautiful sailboat print mercer shirt in green linen. It was love at first sight, it is a classic shirt but so vibrant and colorful, my eyes went directly to this showstopper the minute I was browsing around the store.  It is 100% linen, it has a convenient rounded patch pocket at the left chest and split back yoke with a box pleat it has, gives you a greater range of motion and makes it so confortable to wear, those are the details I love from this shirt. Taking in consideration the shirt has a very bright and eye catchy print I decided to pair it with a more toned down bottom, so I went for a more light blue bermuda short with an equally relaxed silhouette, made of cotton. So… look at this beautiful and exotic leather case by Ullu. Yes, exotic… made of ostrich leather, I have to say I am becoming obsessed with iphone cases and at the moment this is my favorite, it’s unique, apart. I get a lot of reactions from them, specially when I mention is made of ostrich leather. Grooming, perfumes and stuff…

I like to use beauty, grooming and styling products… you need to look good if you wanna play this game and you always can use some help, not all of us are like you, my beloved reader, naturally beautiful…. some of us need some extra help :p For my beard here’s the Brooklyn Grooming’s balm. You know those fly-aways hairs after you trim? This balm helps to put them in place, also makes your beard softer, for me that I am constantly sunbathing at the beach this is a great product. Also you can style and shape your beard with it and it looks glossy and shinny, is not that strong but it helps a lot and is good for your skin.I use it probably 3 or 4 times a week. The beard oil from The Groomed Man Co. … They smell SO GOOD, specially the mint one, i don’t know if it is because I love mojitos, but that mint one is really something, the one featured here is the Morning Wood, i know… what a name!
